A New Perspective on Managing Anxiety – Podcast with Carly Roman of “Carl Her Mommy”

read

I was invited to chat on Carly Roman’s motherhood podcast about all things anxiety, OCD, and intrusive thoughts during the postpartum period and beyond. We had a great conversation and covered the following topics:

-how do I know if my anxiety is “normal” or something more?
-common intrusive thoughts during the initial postpartum period (and beyond)
-when to seek support (peer support, therapy, medication, etc.)
-what to do (and what not to do) when you’re having intrusive thoughts
-how to make decisions when you’re feeling anxious (i.e. do I send my kids to school when the stomach bug is going around?)

Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
